Essential Scrapbooking Supplies by Julius Madden
Scrapbooking can be a very inexpensive crafting hobby for crafters to invest their time and money into doing. Many crafters find that materials for making scrapbooks are so diverse and many are on hand around the house. This means you might pop out to the store to pick up some Christmas stickers to embellish your Christmas albums but you might find co-ordinating ribbons or buttons at home.
As with any craft or hobby, researching the supplies you need is important. The love of collecting and taking photographs is the main reason why scrapbooking enthusiasts spend hours refining their craft. The hobby is a very self-satisfying and rewarding hobby. Crafters of scrapbooks do so to commemorate the milestones that happen in their family and friend's lives. The album becomes irreplaceable with many beautiful pages that celebrate a treasured moment in time.
Crafting supplies for scrapbooking include adhesives and glues that work well with photographs and are the acid-free varieties. The scrapbooking hobbyist can add 3D adhesives, liquid glues, glue sticks and spray adhesive to their list of supplies needed to complete scrapbooking projects. Tapes should be bought that are single and double adhesive and have dispensers that make it easier to craft faster. 3D adhesive glues are easy and quick to use as is the quick to dry glue sticks and rollers. A simple adhesive that is quick and easy to apply are glue dots that are acid-free and are specifically used for mounting photographs.
Adhesive tapes for scrapbooking also come in different hues of colors design to compliment the crafting project. Corner photograph mounting adhesives are self-adhesive and come in s variety of colors and different textures. When adhesives and glues are used in scrapbooking projects there will be accidental glue spots dropped or smeared on the project. Adhesive removers are perfect for those times and are a must have as they will save a scrapbooking page from being thrown away. You don't want to spend hours on a page, use up all your favourite Christmas stickers only to have to throw it away.
A very good quality pair of crafting scissors and a craft knife or paper trimmer will also be needed. Scissors that are sharp and standup to countless hours of crafting, while not hurting the hands are very important. Rubber-handled scissors that are light-weight are the best variety of crafting scissors to use. Scissors can also include pinking shears that add detail to the edging of pictures and cutouts used in the scrapbooking project.
The actual scrapbooking albums can be purchased in various sizes and are ready for use. For the truly creative scrapbooker, a variety of different clear acrylic sheets and ring binding supplies are alsoavailable. Scrapbook page kits and photo album refill pages are also needed. Stamps, Christmas stickers, rub-ons, brads, ribbons, eyelets and gel pens are also used to embellish these pages.
