Light Up The Night With A Streamlight Tlr-3 by Jacob Williams
Pursuing an armed fugitive in the middle of the night is perhaps the most dangerous situation that a police officer may ever have to face. Under the cover of darkness, there are so many places a dangerous criminal can hide. An essential piece of equipment is a Tactical Gun mount that can illuminate the night. The Streamlight TLR-3 is a compact rail mounted tactical light that can give the police officer the advantage over the fleeing felon.
Weighing just 2.32 ounces including the 3V CR2 battery, this very well designed gun accessory does not interfere in any way with the performance or accuracy of the firearm. The actual dimensions are 2.71 inches long by 1.18 inches wide and 1.51 inches high.
This very powerful compact light has a 4,100 candela beam intensity equivalent to 90 lumens of illuminating light. The light source has 2-3 times the brightness of high-flux LEDs and the parabolic reflector concentrates the beam to make it that much more effective. Whether you are in pursuit down a dark alley or chasing a suspect through the dense woods, the Streamlight TLR-3 will give you continuous brilliant light for up to one and one half hours.
One of the concerns police officers and anyone else who might want to attach a light source to their weapon may have is safety. The light should complement the gun and not interfere with the trigger mechanism. It should also be far enough away from the muzzle to avoid any careless accidents. The Streamlight TLR-3 fits both requirements.
Safety has been given top priority with this smartly engineered gun accessory. The light mounts below the barrel of the gun and there is a quick connect or detach mechanism that is accessible from the side and not the front of the gun. Included with the Streamlight TLR-3 are six interchangeable keys that can fit almost any type of weapon.
Quality is built in to this tactical light. The body is made of a strong, impact-resistant polymer plastic and is also waterproof if submerged in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. That mean if a chase leads you in to a canal or lake, the bright light will continue to shine until you can get back on dry land.
Quality is evident throughout. A borofloat high temperature glass lenses is resistant to scratching and also protects the bright lamps from being damaged under strenuous use. Keeping the Streamlight light but very strong is a machined aircraft aluminum face cap.
A momentary/steady switch keeps the light on continuously or it can be turned on or off at a moment's notice. Each unit is inscribed with a unique serial number and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
